Office of the Associate Director
The Office of the Associate Director oversees NPG’s exhibit design, new media, collections management, collections information systems, Catalogue of American Portraits, operations and administration, and business enterprises. Interns work on special projects in museum management, earned revenue activities (such as author talks in the bookstore or after hours programs in the café), performance measurement and strategic planning in a museum environment.
Qualifications
Graduate students with a relevant interest and background in museum management, earned revenue activities (such as author talks and museum after hours programs), performance measurement, and nonprofit strategic planning are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and Power Point, is required. Candidates should also have exceptional written communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently as well as with a team, and must be extremely detail-oriented.
Terms Internship is Available:
All terms: fall, winter/spring, and summer.
