Gerald R. Ford Gerald R. Ford (born 1913)
Thirty-eighth President (1974-1977)

Succeeding to the presidency upon Richard Nixon's forced resignation, Gerald Ford entered the White House when public confidence in the federal executive branch was deeply eroded. Ford's candor and conciliatory brand of leadership, however, went a long way toward restoring that confidence.

The creator of this likeness, Ray Kinstler, has done the official likenesses of many public figures, and another of his portrayals of Ford hangs in the White House.
