Official button from the March on Washington

Those planning to attend the March on Washington were advised that selling the official black–and-white handclasp buttons was “the easiest way to raise funds” for the march. Buttons could be ordered at a cost of twenty-five-cents each from march organizers, who noted, “Every marcher should wear a button. Every marcher should sell them.” On the day of the march, King wore one of the buttons on his jacket lapel.
