Behind the Portrait
Become a Patron of the National Portrait Gallery

rule

Audrey Hepburn by Philippe HalsmanThe National Portrait Gallery relies on the generosity of many in order to make our highly acclaimed education programs, exhibitions, web presence, and publications possible. We are grateful for the loyalty and enthusiasm of our supporters, and pleased to provide a way to deepen this involvement.

Portrait Patrons make things happen at the Portrait Gallery. These are the individuals behind our portraits; their generous support funds our popular education programs such as our Face-to-Face talks, Family Days, and interactive Portrait Stories program for K–3 students from across the region. Portrait Patrons also help fund our exhibitions, scholarly publications, conservation work, and website enhancements. These contributions are fundamental to our continued success and impact.

Help us keep America’s stories alive and vibrant for the millions of people who visit us annually in Washington, DC, and online at npg.si.edu.
